On the right bank of the Tanaro river, 12 km from Alba, this family run estate sits on the steep hilly slopes of the Serra Capelli Hill. The south-west facing vineyards encompass 10 acres and are planted to Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. Elio Filippino is the winemaker and his wife Miriam, mother Lucia and sister of Ivana, all contribute greatly to the production of high quality wines. All year round, from spring to summer, from autumn to winter, Azienda Agricola Filippino opens its doors to visitors because the hill of Serra Capelli is something to be seen and experienced during every season. Individual visitors or groups may visit the cellars and the vineyards, learning firsthand about the antique vine-cultivating and winemaking techniques, extending their experience and formulating their opinions.
