This blend of old vine Barossa Valley Grenache (45%), Shiraz (30%), and Mourvedre (25%) is named after the Kennedy Family who were one of the pioneers of the Barossa Valley wine industry, planting vines 50-100 years ago. The several different vineyards that are the source for this wine range in age between 25 years old and up to 100 years old. All three varietals are fermented separately and aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. Winemaker Corey Ryan made just over 2,000 cases of this Southern Rhone style blend. This vintage was given scores of 94 points from James Halliday and 92 points from Robert Parker.
