What do you love the most about being in the wine industry?

I’ve been told I have a diverse and interesting background having had the opportunity to also work on the commercial side of the wine business as a National Sales Manager for several wineries including Qupé, Au Bon Climat, La Follette, Quivira, Dry Creek Vineyard, & Torbreck. During those years I helped in production by assisting several of these wineries during multiples harvests. I simply love everything about the wine business; however the most special part of it is being able to share a bottle of wine and getting to know people. Santé!

What is your desert island wine region where the rest of your life will be spent drinking the wines of this region only and why?

Burgundy! Having had the opportunity to stand in the biodynamically farmed La Tache Monopole Vineyard at Domaine de la Romanée Conti drinking that very wine I experienced what some say is an iron fist in a velvet glove. The wine was simply ethereal and transcended description. To me, Burgundian wines are the ultimate expression of Terroir. They make you think, contemplate and often challenge your intellect. Burgundy reminds me of this Quote from Salvador Dali “He or she who knows how to taste does not drink wine, but savors its secrets”.
